Building a table with Martlewood can be easily achieved in the following easy steps. We listen to your requirements and make sure we get in as many details as possible to make your ideal table a reality! By the end of this, we hope you’re better educated on how tables are made and with that, make an informed decision!
Step 1: KNOW YOUR SIZE
|Recommended Seating||Length (mm)||Width (mm)||Height (mm)|
|4||1200 to 1400||700 to 900||750 to 770|
|6||1500 to 1600||800 to 900||750 to 770|
|6 to 8||1700 to 1800||800 to 900||750 to 770|
|8||1900 to 2000||800 to 1000||750 to 770|
|8 to 10||2000 to 2100||800 to 1000||750 to 770|
To anything, there is always a principal consideration. The fundamental in building a table is size and size determines price as well. The sizes come with recommended seating, depending on the type of of chairs you would like to match with; with or without armrest.
Step 2: PICK A MATERIAL TABLE TOP
Step 3: CHOOSE A DESIGN
Step 4: PICK A BASE MATERIAL
Solid wood table legs and metal frames are both structurally sound. Different materials exude different types of finishing, achieving your desired aesthetics. Wood, generally is warmer in appeal while metal can be chic and sleek. Choose from a design if not show us what you have in mind, and we will work to our best.
Step 5: CHOOSE YOUR MARBLE FINISHING
There are essentially 3 types of finishing to choose from:
- Polished (Default)
- Glossy outlook
- Veins are more pronounced
- Good for marble types with strong veins
- Matte finish
- Muted outlook as veins are less obvious
- A more contemporary and softer look
- Textured feel to the marble
- Matte finishing as well
- Only for darker based marbles, not available for white marble
We generally require 4 weeks for metal frame tables and 6 weeks for wood frame tables. If you have a longer time, we will work it backwards and not start work until necessary.
After all details are confirmed, we will proceed to choose a suitable marble slab based on the preference you have expressed earlier and update you accordingly. It is important to set the right expectations when choosing marble as the preferred material for dining tables. While marble is beautiful, it is not exempted from it’s fair share of imperfections such as water veins, crystals, or even naturally-occurring fault lines. While we understand the desire of attaining perfection, it’s important to note that natural materials come with their raw beauty and their imperfections make any piece perfect.
